Register Reconciler consists of two different parts to make cash counting and reconciling deposits hassle-free.
Part One is an online form that your employees use to enter in the cash amounts in the register by type (pennies, quarters, etc.). The form automatically calculates the value of cash in the drawer and gives a deposit amount based on what your starting bank is. The form will also calculate the difference between what your register says the cash drop should be, and what the actual cash drop is.
Part Two is a Google Sheet that displays all of the data submitted in the form and tallies the total cash deposit for the day and the total cash shortage or overage. It's super easy to reconcile your accounting when the cash deposits are displayed this way!
You will need to sign up for a Jotform account. This is software we use to create your business specific form for counting the cash amounts.
You will also need to have a Gmail account to store and host the Google Sheet that contains all of the form entries and total daily deposit information.
The free Jotform plan includes up to 100 monthly submissions. To determine the number of submissions you need per month, use the following formula:
Number of Registers * Number of Drops per Day * 31 = Total Monthly Submissions
For example, if you have 2 registers and want a drop made twice a day (afternoon and at close) your formula would be:
2 * 2 *31 = 124
This would exceed the amount of submissions in the free plan, and you would need to sign up for the Bronze plan to accommodate all of your data.
